Luis (Malaga, Spain)  is a PhD in architecture from the University of Seville. He has been  drawing since he was a child, and began sketching on location since the first year of his studies.

He found drawing on the spot as a valuable tool to study the city, to see people in their urban environment, and how the city is perceived as a live being, a great stage where human activity takes place and not a mere architectural setting. His doctoral thesis studied under these premises the historical drawings of his home city, Málaga, which is also the main subject of his books that show it through urban sketches. He is also the founder of the local group of urban sketchers.
