Miguel (Barcelona, Spain)  was born in Madrid but now lives in Barcelona. He is a former graphic designer turned illustrator a few years ago, while he was living in Bologna, Italy, where he started drawing sketchbooks in 2006. In addition to his illustration work, which he does mostly in the computer, Herranz keeps himself busy teaching drawing workshops at different universities and art schools, including Universitat de Barcelona/ESCAC, Universitat Ramon Llull, Escuela Superior de Diseño de Aragón, Universidad Internacional de Andalucía and Circle Artistic de Sant Lluc. For Herranz, sketchbooks are his preferred medium of personal expression, not only for urban sketching but for journaling, doodling and brainstorming.
